Building awareness for Men’s cancers

Brothers Leagues Club Townsville raised $544.30 from the collection tins and a further $1,438.00 from the meat tray raffle, donating a total of $1982.30 to the Blue September Organisation.

Brothers partake in many fundraising and charitable events which not only raise funds, but awareness as well.

On Friday, September 16^th, 2011, Brothers raised funds for the ‘Blue September’ men’s cancer organisation.  Whilst all staff painted their faces to encourage awareness of men’s cancer, the day also saw participation by our patrons, namely the kids!

There were tins placed throughout the club to collect donations by staff and patrons, as well as meat tray raffles from which all proceeds were also donated.  Fun was had by all and it was a very successful day.
