New Look Gaming Room Coming Soon

November 14, 2024

Keep your eyes peeled for our gaming room renovation starting soon!

Following on from the successful installation of Leprechauns Kids Playzone and the upgrade to the Qube Café, Brothers will embark on an upgrade to its gaming room in the New Year.

Scheduled to begin in February 2025, the gaming room refurbishment is expected to be completed in as little as 5 weeks. Preliminary designs have been completed by BSPN, who specialise in architecture and interior design. The refurbishment is largely cosmetic with little to no structural changes coming to the gaming room. The current gaming room has been in operation for the past 5 years and although still fully functional, its limitations are in its occasional tight spots and modern creature comforts.

Brothers Chief Executive Officer, Justin Wilkins said he was excited about some of the improvements coming to the flagship of the Brothers Group. “We recently completed a full upgrade of our gaming facilities at Kirwan Sports Club and they have proven to be very popular with members and guests alike. With that in mind, we are looking to replicate some of those features and add to them with some new décor, LED signage and lighting.”

The refurbishment doesn’t necessarily mean more gaming machines, in fact Mr Wilkins indicated that Brothers may as a result, have less machines than its current 232.

“Our main focus is on creating a more spacious experience for our members and guests, decreasing the size of our bases and updated our floor plan to make moving around and privacy our main priority,” Mr Wilkins said.

Local builder, Phoenix Constructions has been tasked with the renovation. Mr Wilkins added that the main mandate to builders, was ensuring a seamless transition between now and the finished product.    “We will have to shuffle the room around a little during the upgrade, but will still have no less than 80% of our machines operating at any time during the process.

During the build time, Bingo sessions will be played in the Range Room and the current bingo room used as an interim gaming hub.

“As some of the artists impressions show, it will really modernise the room and also give us a chance to improve on some of the dated décor that currently exists.  Having seen how good it looks at Kirwan Sports, I’m excited by the plans and how it could turn out,” Mr Wilkins said.

Stay tuned!
